What’s the minimum down payment?

In Canada, the minimum down payment is 5% for homes up to $500,000. For homes over $500,000, the down payment is 5% on the first $500,000, and 10% on the portion above that.

Are there options for self-employed?

Yes, there are plenty of ways to qualify, whether you're running a new business or have an established one, sole proprietorship or incorporated. We can use various methods like bank statements, tax returns, business financials, and more to help you qualify.

Can I transfer ('port') my mortgage to a new property?

Yes, you can transfer (or ‘port’) your mortgage to a new home, but not all lenders handle it the same way. Just because your lender offers porting doesn’t mean they do it well. Even if you already have a mortgage and are looking at porting, I’ll weigh the pros and cons to see if it's the best option for you.
